WHO WE ARE
The Victoria University of Wellington Basketball Club was re-established in 2017 and has become a fast growing club, with many basketball opportunities for Women and Men after high school. We are a club that is open to both Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand students and all other members of the Wellington, New Zealand community. We have a range of competitive and social teams, which we enter into our local competitions, at the ASB Sports Centre.

Victoria University Basketball Club aims to become any sports fan or athlete’s home away from home. Even if you feel a bit rusty, come on by and we’ll help you get back in the game.
CODE OF CONDUCT
​ALL PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO READ AND ADHERE TO THE VUBC CODE OF CONDUCT
As a player, I understand that I must comply with the following, when representing Victoria University Basketball Club:
Respect the game, play fairly and follow it’s rules and regulations.
Show respect for officials and volunteers.
Demonstrate good sportsmanship before, during and after games.
Be courteous to opposing teams and treat all players and coaches with respect.
Be modest when successful and gracious in defeat.
Respect and look after all facilities and Victoria University Basketball Club equipment and practice courts.
Ensure that all fees are paid on time.
Comply with coaches expectations, particularly around training attendance and attitude; each coach will outline these at the start of the season.
Playing time and positions are at the coaches discretion – if a player has an issue with court time they are to raise it with the coach at an appropriate time (ie: not straight after a game) or with the Coaching Manager.
Have fun and get involved with as many social events and fundraisers as possible!
