CAN I PLAY FOR YOUR CLUB IF I AM NOT A VICTORIA UNIVERSITY STUDENT?
Yes!  We are a club for everyone! We are based at Victoria University and are made up of a majority of VUW student - however, we are not limited to VUW students.  Anyone is welcome.
HOW MUCH ARE FEES AND WHEN ARE THEY DUE?
The following outlines the total fees for 2018 for students and non-students of Victoria University, Wellington. There are two options for fees payment, either 1) payment of fees in full or 2) signing up to the payment plan.
Fees for VUW Students = $15 Registration Fee (due 5th March) plus $226 (due 9 April) = $241 total
Fees for Professionals / Non-VUW Students = $15 Registration Fee (due 5th March) plus $245 (due 9 April) = $260 total

WHY ARE SOME FEES LESS / MORE THAN OTHERS?
As we are a university club - Victoria University of Wellington provides a small grant each year to financially help students. This subsidy reduces the amount we charge Victoria University of Wellington students.
Note this is not guranteed each year and amounts vary.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE TRIALS?
Victoria University of Wellington National 3x3 and 5x5 trials will be announced via the Facebook page of University Recreation, Wellington. We will also do our best to share all trial information, as it is released.

Victoria University Basketball Club 5x5 trials will be held on the 3 & 10 May 2020, from 12:30pm-2:30pm.
​​​​​​​These are held at ASB Sports Centre in Kilbirnie.
If you have missed trials we may still have places on our social teams- so get in touch.
CAN I JUST COACH? CAN I PLAY FOR ANOTHER CLUB BUT COACH FOR TEAM VIC?
Sure you can! We are always on the hunt for new coaches to join us.

Coaching a team will make you a better player. Selectors are favourable to those who have also volunteered to coach a team. Full training is provided to coaches and you may coach with a buddy to share the experience.

UNIFORMS – WHERE TO GET THEM AND WHICH TEAMS WEAR WHAT?
All teams wear our club Basketball Kit.
These are hired from the club for the season at a cost of $50 (which is included in your total fees). This amount includes a $25 bond which will be refunded at the end of the season when the kit is returned.

You pick your uniforms up from the Team Managers - dates and times TBC.

If you require a large (size 18 or above) or small (size 8 or below) size, please indicate this when you register as we have limited amounts of these kits. This enables us to order more if necessary.
ARE YOU JUST A COMPETITIVE CLUB?
No. Â While a majority of our teams are competitive, we provide for everyone of all abilities. Â Whether you want to play competitive or social basketball get in contact with us and we can lead you in the right direction.
CAN I FORM A TEAM WITH MY FRIENDS?
Yes. Â If you have a bunch of friends who are wanting to play together let us know. Â We can help get you into the best suited league here in Wellington.
