The Victoria University Basketball Club requires a volunteer (koha is provided) to take the position of Men’s Head Coach for the upcoming 2021 basketball season. The coaching position will benefit Victoria University of Wellington student athletes who have previously played for representative teams and at New Zealand secondary school level, as they build up to represent the University at the 2021 National Tertiary Basketball Championship.
Requirements:
High knowledge of Basketball
Great communication skills to work with a diverse group of athletes & interact with other volunteers within management
Organised and prepared
Positive outgoing nature

Team trials
Monday, 5 July. 6:15pm-8:30pm
Saturday, 10 July. 1:45pm-4:00pm
Monday, 12 July. 6:15pm-8:30pm
2x weekly team trainings
Wednesday evenings 6:00pm-8:00pm
Friday mornings 6:00am-8:00am
1x weekly game
Sunday evenings (times vary)
2021 National Tertiary Basketball Championship
AUT North Campus, Auckland. 17 – 19 September
Teams will fly up Thursday evening and return Sunday evening (times tbc.)
